The California Department of Food and Agriculture and the State Board of Food and Agriculture recently conducted a strategic planning exercise for California agriculture referred to as Ag Vision. The report identifies key action areas that are needed in order to allow agriculture to continue to prosper in the coming decades.
One of the key priorities is to provide regulatory relief for farmers and ranchers with the goal of still maintaining health, safety and environmental standards. To that end the survey below asks some basic questions that will guide the Ag Vision team and CDFA in pursuit of smarter regulatory programs and regulatory relief. Please answer these questions and submit your responses by April 15, 2011. Also, indicate the nature of your agricultural enterprise at the end and thank you for assisting in this effort.
